About CANOREI
The Carolina Area Network of Real Estate Inspectors (CANOREI for short) is a co-operative agreement between several Licensed NC Home Inspectors who provide the best services across North Carolina, guaranteed!
Our mission is to provide an objective, honest real estate inspection at a reasonable rate. We provide supplemental tests and services to help you to assess your specific real estate concerns. Our business is observing and inspecting properties to assist you in maximizing you real estate investment, while providing peace of mind.

We began when several inspectors were meeting to discuss day-to-day probelms we and our clients encounter:
- Small firms with one or two owner/operators give the most personal, professional service, but are often too busy to help a new client at the last minute.
- Large firms often have the best price and availability, but are very impersonal and often overlook personal details, because they focus on volume.
- Dedicated inspectors can never rest! Vacations and personal time mean our clients are calling someone else!
- Repeat clients, mortgage brokers, and Relators want a consistent experience when dealing with inspectors, something that is often missing.
So we decided to solve these problems; we formed CANOREI! Now we co-operatively cover for one another, share information and training, and have worked together to create a peer audit system that ensures you get the same quality experience from each inspector.
We have taken industry and state standards and set them as a MINIMUM and worked to exceed them:
- All of our inspectors are experienced in real estate inspections and in the fields of construction, remodeling, repair, real estate and associated trades. Our residential and commercial credentials are a blend of field experience, licensing, and technical training. We use our expertise to provide a thorough, visual inspection that will enable you to plan your approach to buying, selling, or maintaining your real estate concerns.
- All our associates are NC Licensed Home Inspectors! The NC Home Inspector Licensing Board counsel has recently stated on the record at an open board meeting that NC has no authority over any un-licensed inspectors. This is even though NC statute requires anyone inspecting two or more systems in a residential structure to be licensed by the board. If you do not hire a NC Licensed Inspector, the regualtions ensuring you get a good inspection and have a legal recourse for complaint are absolutely non-existent. Accept No substitute! An inspection performed by an associate with no on-site supervision is not a good, complete inspection. You should get what you pay for!
- At least quarterly, each of us submits to a quarterly peer review by the other members of our co-operative, who perform "ride-along" on a day's inspections, then review out report to make sure we are being consistent and complete in our endeavors.
- We are InterNACHI Certified! The InterNatational Association of Certified Home Inspectors is the largest and most respected Home Inspector Association in the World. This Organization stands behind us with over 7000 members, and a web site that has 6,794,000 pages of educational information and online training that directly benefits the member inspectors and our clients when we need it.
